Orissa``s Subrat Das has been selected by the Board of Cricket Control of India (BCCI) to act as an umpire in the Triangular Series involving ``A`` teams of India, Australia and New Zealand, starting at Chennai on September 21.
He will stand in two matches to be played between India and New Zealand on September 21 and between Australia and New Zealand on September 22.
Resident of Budharaja, Sambalpur, Das earlier played competitive cricket for the state under-22 team. He became an all-India panel umpire in 2005. Das is also the cricket secretary of Sambalpur District Athletic Association.
